Finding and Adding a Cool Profile Layout

All free MySpace accounts come with the same basic profile layout. There is really nothing eye catching about it, and it can fail to emote your individual personality. In order to help you to personalize your profile to best fit you, custom and pre-made layouts are available for use. The following paragraphs will discuss how to locate and use custom and pre-made layouts for your MySpace profile.

While most newbies to MySpace will first start out with the basic profile design provided by MySpace, almost all members tend to individualize their profiles by searching out one that is customized to their own likes and personality. There are a wide variety of websites who offer pre-made and custom layout codes, that can drastically change the look and feel of your MySpace profile, customizing your profile to better fit you!

You can generate a list of links to possible websites that offer a variety of layouts by utilizing your favorite search engine. Type the words "MySpace Layouts" into the provided area of your search engine and hit "enter". In doing so, you will generate a list of links that lead to possible web pages that offer the layouts you are looking for.

Once you find a layout you would like to use for your MySpace profile, it is time to put the code in the appropriate place. Each layout will commonly have a code associated with it, and you must copy this code. Paste it onto your wordpad and minimize the window.

Now it's time to put the code into your MySpace profile. In order to do so, you must be logged into your MySpace account. After you are logged in, you should see a link to click, in order to "Edit Profile". The link will be located to the right of your picture, first on the list. Once you click this link, you will be ready to insert your new layout code.

On the "Edit Profile" page of your MySpace account, you will see a section that says "About Me". You now need to copy the profile code, again, from the wordpad where you saved it prior. Now, paste the saved code into the top of your "About Me" section, before any text or graphics you may have already inserted in this area. Hit "Save All Changes", at the top the page, and you are all set. When you view your profile, you should now see your new layout.

The design (http://personal.ajtroxelldesign.com/) itself my wife came up with. I just had the means to create it for her, and yet it took a while to do. All of the credit goes to her for it though. I love the idea behind this site, would you mind if I linked you?
